Six-Term Select Board Veteran Governor Trask Seeks Return to Danvers Board

DANVERS — April 22, 2025 — Danvers Select Board candidate Governor Trask calls for experienced, nonpartisan local leadership ahead of the May 6 election. Trask, who served six terms on the Select Board and has volunteered on the Municipal Light Board, Airport Commission, River Committee, and Affordable Housing Trust, delivered a formal campaign address April 22 emphasizing housing affordability, downtown revitalization, and the town's recent hiring of a new town manager. He drew a sharp contrast with five opponents he said have "purposely aligned and publicized their allegiance to the Republican Party and its national platform," calling the development a break from decades of nonpartisan town elections. Trask also cited his family's roots in Danvers dating to the Salem Village era, noting three ancestors were accused during the witch trials, and said he lives in a home on Lindell Hill that his grandfather built nearly 75 years ago.
