Select Board approves DCAT, pizzeria license requests

Danvers Select Board clears two liquor-related licenses and honors two employees. The board voted 4-0 to grant Danvers Community Access Television a one-day wine and malt beverage license for its Sept. 24 25th-anniversary event, with Chair Dutrochet Djoko calling the station "the eyes of Danvers." Members also approved, 4-0, a common victualer license letting Danvers Pizza and Sub seat 10 patrons at 136 Andover St., and signed off on a corporate officer change for the Doubletree Boston North Shore's all-alcohol license. Ellsworth reported the Sept. 1 state primary drew just under 27 percent turnout, over 6,000 voters. DPW Business Manager Angelica Medina and Officer Nick Strangy were recognized for state and FBI honors. The board closed by voting 4-0 to enter executive session over litigation tied to the town's water contract and Cemetery Road.
