Danvers panel lifts Dottie Avenue order
Danvers Conservation Commission closes out a Dottie Avenue wetlands enforcement case, unanimously.
Conservation · Meeting of August 27, 2026
Danvers Conservation Commission closes out a Dottie Avenue wetlands enforcement case, unanimously. Representative Bob Griffin told the board that applicant Edward Doherty replaced all 16 plants in a 375-square-foot mitigation area and had the work inspected the same day, prompting members to lift the enforcement order and issue a certificate of compliance for DEP File No. 14-0883. Discussion then turned to a separate, unresolved problem: a dock and float built under a now-lapsed order of conditions that the harbormaster says is larger than its approved plan, with no after-the-fact notice of intent yet filed.
One member argued "every other dock applicant would put through the ringer," pressing for a filing deadline. The commission also approved its August 13 minutes and heard that three more certificate of compliance requests and one new notice of intent are pending for its September 10 meeting.
