Danvers Panel Advances Peer Review on Cherry Hill Site
Conservation · Meeting of September 24, 2026
Danvers panel presses pause on Cherry Hill Drive wetlands claim, orders independent review. Wetlands consultant Scott Goddard of Goddard Consulting told the Conservation Commission a drainage ditch between two Johnson & Johnson-linked parcels at 22 and 24-42 Cherry Hill Drive carries no wetland jurisdiction, saying "I don't see any wetland jurisdiction along that feature." Members pushed back, noting two foot bridges over the ditch had previously come before the board for permitting. Civil engineer Matt Holt of High Point Engineering said the ditch "was designed and built when the whole subdivision was built." The commission voted unanimously to continue the hearing, DEP File No. 14-1458, to October 8 and authorized staff to hire a paid peer reviewer, with resident Bill Bradstreet telling the board a site visit followed by peer review "seems to make most sense."
