MassDOT will close a southbound lane of Route 1 at Industrial Drive in Danvers from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday for urgent milling and paving after a large fuel spill. Large trucks won't be able to reach Industrial Drive during that time, though smaller vehicles can with police assistance.
Danvers Public Works warned Oct. 29 of scam phone calls falsely claiming Danvers Electric is merging with National Grid, urging residents to hang up and verify any claims directly with Danvers Electric.
