Overnight paving starts Sunday on Elm, Holten streets
Danvers Public Works will pave Elm and Holten streets overnight starting Oct. 25, with daytime work on Holten Street Oct. 28-29; residents can use downtown public lots during the closures.
The Danvers Department of Public Works announced Oct. 23 that it will begin overnight paving work this weekend as part of an ongoing roadway improvement project.
In coordination with D&R Paving, crews will start overnight paving on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work will begin on Elm Street and continue along Holten Street up to Pine Street.
Additional daytime paving is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, and Thursday, Oct. 29, on Holten Street between Pine Street and Centre Street. All work is weather permitting.
No-parking signs will be posted in all active work areas during the project. Residents affected by the closures may use the public downtown lots, which will remain open throughout the project.
The DPW thanked residents for their patience and cooperation as roadway improvements continue, and said further updates will be shared as additional work is scheduled.
