Danvers Planning Board approves revised Freight House site plan despite member pushback on lost rail-trail decking. The board unanimously granted Seasons Behavioral Services, LLC a special permit for its roughly 3,100-square-foot clinic at 125 Liberty Street, where co-founder Dr. Corey Whalen said the center serves "approximately 10 to 12 clients" daily.
On 6 Hobart Street, clerk Michael Decoulos argued the new Freight House design — which cuts impervious surface by about 37 percent but drops a rail-trail-facing deck — looked like the team "attached a handicap ramp onto the front" of the historic building, while Chair Jean Hartnett said she felt the town was "fleeced a little bit" by the redesign. All four voting members present ultimately backed the plan, with absent member Lou George's letter on restroom access reviewed separately. The board continued PMZ Realty Trust's 156-158 Maple Street mixed-use application, 18 units plus 12 townhouses, to September 22.
