Danvers Planning Board approved a signage waiver for Winchester Savings Bank at 44 Maple Street. The bank sought permission for a 5.9-square-foot blade/projecting sign alongside an existing 18.9-square-foot wall sign, totaling 24.8 square feet against the 20-square-foot limit. Clerk Michael Decoulos moved approval; the board unanimously endorsed the waiver 5-0.
Board members raised concerns that the sign text "Entrance in Rear" could confuse patrons about the front entrance's status; the applicant agreed to consult on alternative wording. The board continued two development proposals to August 11: a Site Plan Review for 6 Hobart Street and Special Permits and Waivers for 156 and 158 Maple Street.
