Select Board · Meeting of June 18, 2026
DANVERS — The Danvers Select Board approved a cooperation agreement with the Danvers Housing Authority and declined to grant a construction extension for a stalled 17 Elm Street project. Executive Director Cynthia Dunn and attorney Emily walked the board through converting two federally subsidized complexes, Rand Circle and Highland Manor, from Section 9 public housing to the more robust Section 8 platform, formalizing a $60,436.76 annual payment in lieu of taxes. Building Commissioner Tim Hudon told the board the 17 Elm Street contractor remains unbonded for required sewer work and has not finished its brick facade, prompting Member Daniel Bennett to ask "where was he in May 15th when he should have been here when the permit expired." The board also approved a common victualer license for new bakery Daniella's Dulce, a one-day brewery license for Twisted Fate Brewing's fishing-tournament event, and renewed Connors Farm's entertainment license, 5-0.
