DANVERS — Zoning Board split 3-2 on day spa; approved four applications. Chair Corinne Doherty and member Kevin Berich opposed a Finding allowing a day spa to substitute for a retail use at 9 Bridge Street, citing unclear licensing and regulatory gaps in massage-therapy oversight; the three-member majority (Kenneth Scholes, Kenneth Jarvinen, Chris Dembowski) voted to approve. The board unanimously approved a porch variance at 6 Hardy Street with an "open-air" condition, a single-family conversion variance at 32 Prince Street, and a shed-setback variance at 9 Lawrence Street.

Two continued items, a retaining wall variance at 58 Burley Street and an off-premises sign variance at 170 Sylvan Street, were withdrawn without prejudice.
