DANVERS — Water & Sewer Commission denies homeowner reimbursement for water line repair. The three-member commission, voting unanimously, rejected Robert Mennuti's request for financial assistance after Town Engineer Stephen King confirmed the leak at 25 Foster Street fell within the homeowner's responsibility between the curb stop and meter. Business Manager Angelica Medina reported water collections at 7.465 million dollars, 69.2 percent of the 10.79 million dollar FY26 budget need, and sewer collections at 4.955 million dollars, 59.9 percent of the 8.27 million dollar budget need.
Town Engineer Stephen King noted that Danvers supplies approximately 20 percent of its water to Middleton under an intermunicipal agreement that expired in 2002, with renegotiations underway.
