Water & Sewer Commission approves prior minutes, defers Foster Street leak claim

Water & Sewer Commission · Meeting of January 22, 2026

DANVERS — Water & Sewer Commission defers homeowner water line repair claim to next meeting. Robert Mennuti of 25 Foster Street requested town cost-sharing for a private water line leak discovered between his curb stop and meter; Town Engineer Stephen King stated the town has not historically funded private line repairs and that homeowners bear responsibility from curb to house. Commissioner Michael O'Keefe moved to table the request.

The board unanimously approved financial reports showing water cash receipts at $6.6 million (61.2 percent of the $10.79 million FY26 budget) and sewer receipts at $4.4 million (54.1 percent of the $8.27 million budget). A Wenham Street water project was awarded to Granese & Sons for $2.6 million, starting April 2026.
