Select Board · Meeting of July 14, 2026
Danvers Select Board issued final deadline and $1,200 fine against stalled development. The Board voted 3-2 to impose an October 2 completion deadline and a $1,200 fine on GC Fodera Contracting for delays at 17 Elm Street, citing repeated missed deadlines and poor communication; Board members stated their goodwill was exhausted and firm enforcement would be necessary. In other action, the Board unanimously approved a manager change for Danversport Yacht Club, with Joseph DiLorenzo replacing retiring general manager Paul DiLorenzo, and proclaimed July 2026 as Disability Pride Month.
The MBTA will restore downtown bus service beginning September 6, with the revamped Route 465 connecting Danvers Square to Salem Depot operating seven days a week after years of negotiations.
