DANVERS — Select Board approves liquor licenses and Jianna's Pizzeria transfer in routine March meeting. The board voted 4-1 to grant three one-day wine and malt licenses for events at Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School, with Member Michael D. Bean opposing all three; Jianna's Pizzeria's Common Victualler's License transfer was approved unanimously.
The board accepted a donation of 50 standardized tourniquet kits from the Law Enforcement Officer Support Foundation and heard that the FY2025 financial audit produced a clean opinion with 10.6 million dollars in General Fund budgetary favorability. The town announced snow budget overruns of approximately 970,000 dollars, potentially requiring a free cash transfer at town meeting.
