Danvers Select Board unanimously appointed Assistant Town Accountant Carly Manion to the interim role. The Board voted 4-0 to appoint Manion following her presentation of background and experience; Board members expressed support for the appointment. In a second 4-0 vote, the Board authorized the Assistant Town Accountant to approve payroll and accounts payable warrants when the Town Accountant is unavailable, conditioned on Board reassessment if duties extend beyond one month.
Finance Director Rodney Conley presented the need for the authorization. Daniel C. Bennett was absent from the meeting.
