Danvers Select Board makes electronic voting the default method at Town Meeting. On April 7, the board voted unanimously to amend Article 34, establishing electronic tally systems as the primary voting approach while preserving moderator discretion to use voice, standing, written ballot, or roll-call methods as needed. A separate measure, Article 35, passed four to one to allocate $30,000 from free cash to rent or purchase equipment, with Member Gardner S.
Trask, III opposing. Town Manager Jill Cahill outlined a multi-night warrant review process for the May 18 Annual Town Meeting, and the board advanced 44 articles including a $408,675 downtown improvement fund transfer and new measures on easement acquisition and demolition delay bylaw updates.
