DANVERS — River Committee approves waterways fee increase for 2026 season. The committee unanimously backed a recommendation from William Ciesinski and Louis George to raise fees to $2 per foot for residents and $4 per foot for non-residents, addressing concerns from Town Manager Jill Cahill about proportionality in the original proposal. Christopher Sanborn, Director of Natural Resources, reported the town was not selected for Seaport Advisory Committee dredging funding but will pursue improved competitiveness in future rounds; ongoing sediment testing with local marinas continues as a six-month process.
The Harbormaster's Office will adopt LynxLog permitting software for the 2026 season, offering approximately $800 in annual savings and improved state system integration.
