DANVERS — Planning Board continues two zoning petitions to April 6. The board continued public hearings on a proposed rezoning of 249 Andover Street to Highway Corridor Zone for an ice skating rink and a bylaw amendment to allow kennel and commercial dog boarding in residential districts by Special Permit. Dana R.

MacNamee's map amendment petition faced public concerns about traffic at a constrained curb cut, permanent commercial zoning if the rink fails, and potential undesirable future uses; Melissa Nardone's bylaw petition drew concerns about enforcement capacity, noise impacts in dense residential zones, and petition language deemed too broad and unclear. Both hearings were tabled to April 6 following a three-to-zero vote.
