Planning Board · Meeting of April 28, 2026

DANVERS — Planning Board continues Abiomed site plan application to May 26. Abiomed, Inc. proposed a 23,000-square-foot two-story office building and parking expansion at 54 Cherry Hill Drive in the Industrial II zone, with parking growing from 169 to 267 spaces and ten EV-ready charging stalls. Acting Chair Jean Hartnett and board members questioned details on stormwater drainage, landscape species selection, and safety fencing around five-to-six-foot-deep basins; applicant Highpoint Engineering agreed to revise plans addressing town preferences for drought-resistant native plantings and minimal municipal water irrigation.

The board voted unanimously to continue the hearing to May 26.
