Planning Board · Meeting of June 9, 2026

DANVERS — Planning Board approved two major industrial site plans and advanced housing strategy. The board unanimously approved a Site Plan Review for a new 12,397-square-foot freezer building at 37 Popes Lane and 85 Newbury Street, an accessory use for DiLuigi Foods, with conditions addressing noise mitigation and stormwater retention. Abiomed, Inc.'s 54 Cherry Hill Drive expansion also won unanimous approval, subject to full stormwater-basin fencing, ADA parking relocation, and snow-storage standards.

A mixed-use development at 156 and 158 Maple Street—proposing 18 residential units and 12 townhouses—was continued to June 23 pending third-party peer review. The board unanimously forwarded the Housing Production Plan to the Select Board, expected to vote in July or August.
