Danvers Planning Board approves mobile home park expansion and consultant hiring. The board voted unanimously to greenlight a 24-unit expansion of Temar Properties' existing 72-unit mobile home park at 98 Newbury Street, imposing conditions including emergency-only gate access and preservation of historic stone walls and vegetation buffers to address abutter concerns. In a separate unanimous vote, the board authorized Planning staff to hire outside engineering consultants under G.L. c.44, Section 53G for peer reviews without waiting six weeks, a temporary measure attributed to Engineering Division staffing reduction from three to one.
A mixed-use downtown redevelopment proposing thirteen residential units and ground-floor commercial space at 83 Elm Street was withdrawn without prejudice due to an unresolved title defect, with the filing fee waiver deferred pending resubmission.
