DANVERS — The Planning Board approved a contractor's yard at 13 Popes Lane for Lassana Landscaping. The board unanimously granted special permit and site plan approval for the 1.8-acre project, which will convert a nonconforming two-family home into a landscaping contractor's yard with crushed-stone parking and equipment storage, reducing impervious area and improving wetlands buffers. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays with limited Saturday operation.
Public comment from nearby Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park residents raised concerns about hazardous boundary trees; the applicant committed to addressing them with the property owner. The board also reorganized: Jean Hartnett moved to Chair and Michael Decoulos to Clerk, both unanimously.
