Danvers library trustees unanimously approved moving forward with a community food fridge project. The board backed a locked refrigerated structure for placement under the lower library entrance, to be stocked weekly by volunteers, per a proposal from Johann Hunter, Chair of the Danvers Human Rights and Inclusion Committee. The board also approved January's treasurer report, showing a $715,192.37 ending balance.
Director Noelle Boc reported ongoing efforts to preserve library archives in consultation with the Board of Library Commissioners, and the library is recruiting two part-time Assistant Librarians with hopes to onboard hires in February.
