Danvers Council on Aging reorganizes senior center parking

Danvers Council on Aging · Meeting of January 15, 2026

Danvers Council on Aging reorganizes parking for senior center. The Board unanimously approved its December 18, 2025 minutes during the January 15 meeting and enacted new parking designations separating staff and DCOA van zones at the senior center. The Board voted against requesting additional handicap parking and recommended spring installation of door actuators.

In policy matters, the Board maintained the current $10 transportation donation for assisted living residents while reducing in-center senior center transportation to $1.50 per trip. Two upcoming events—the All Around New England Trip Talk and AARP Tax Assistance—each received more than 100 registrations within one hour of registration opening.
