Danvers Council on Aging approves March minutes and fiscal updates. The board reviewed two revolving accounts totaling $439,504.37 and discussed program expansions, including the Bistro's shift to three-day-per-week service starting July 1, which will require Nutrition Coordinator Jen to increase hours from 26.5 to 30. Program Coordinator Liz Barnes reported the April 16 "Forever Young" Senior Prom drew 98 registered attendees plus walk-ins with 60 student volunteers and $3,000 in support from the Friends of the Danvers Council on Aging.
Upcoming events include a Danvers Police safety presentation on May 19, High Tea on May 18, bridge lessons, and a volunteer-led walking group twice weekly beginning in May.
